Job Summary:
The Game Engine Developer works with the team to provide a solid and versatile game development kit, which is used to deliver high quality, captivating and performing games. With a strong understanding of gameplay, you will collaborate to develop new features and assist the game software developers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Participate in the development of new features, modules and concepts required in the game development platform
  • Program, maintain, support, integrate, document and validate the game code using the game development platform
  • Assist the game development team in integrating mathematical data into the active game projects
  • Participate in software design and project analysis
  • Act as a reference for the game development team
  • Trouble-shoot moderate to complex issues
  • Research technical issues and share findings with the team
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by manager

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience in lieu
  • 5-7 years programming experience, preferably in video game development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of C, C++, C# and Unity 3D
  • Experience with the Visual Studio development environment
  • Knowledge of SVN and GIT version control tools
  • Ability to communicate in English highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to make key decisions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team or independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to Drummondville office, Montreal and internationally as required
