The Writer/Translator III writes, translates, maintains and ensures the quality and consistency of the text content of projects and general documentation, in accordance with the requirements of the various departments. He or she also assists in prioritizing and distributing tasks within the team and acts as the person of reference for inferior level team members.

The Writer/Translator III has the ability to adapt his or her writing style according to different criteria, has excellent writing skills particularly in English and has work experience in a multidisciplinary environment.


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists the Senior Writer/Translator – Text content supervisor in the assignment of tasks to members of the team, in overseeing work from other writers/translators, and ensures conformity, consistency and accuracy in all text contents;
  • Assists the Senior Writer/Translator – Text content supervisor in setting priorities and standards related to text content;
  • Provides coaching and support to inferior level team members;
  • In collaboration with all trades involved, writes, maintains and translates documents and contents relating to assigned projects;
  • Collaborates with project managers in researching and establishing writing and documentation procedures and standards;
  • When assigned to a game project, tests games throughout the development process until their completion, and validates the accuracy of all text contents and game rules in a language geared towards the casino gaming industry;
  • Works closely with the QA department to ensure compliance with text consistency standards and certification labs;
  • Creates, updates, translates and manages the various technical documents submitted, in French and English, based on information from the departments involved;
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by manager.


  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in writing/translation or relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in writing/translating (gaming area preferred);
  • In-depth knowledge of the casino game industry;
  • Fluently bilingual (French and English), oral and writing;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Solid interpersonal and adaptability skills;
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite and Teams;
  • Knowledge of management software (Easy Redmine, Jira…);
  • Able to work as part of a team or independently.


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls;
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus;
  • Depending on the position, may have to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
