In 2022, Andrew Burke, Bluberi’s CEO, had a vision, which was to grow Bluberi’s North American market footprint to 10,000 units within five years. Mission accomplished!
At that time, the company had 1,500 units in the field, focused primarily on Class II markets in Washington, Alabama, and Florida, as well as Tribal casinos in Michigan, California, and Florida. This period marked a pivotal chapter for the company, highlighted by the arrival of a new leadership team. Mike Brennan, Chief Product Officer, and Casey Whalen, Chief Commercial Officer, brought fresh vision and a strong drive for transformation.
Since 2022, Bluberi has experienced remarkable growth, expanding its studio footprint from two locations in Drummondville, Quebec, to five with new studios in Reno, NV; Moncton, New Brunswick; and Austin, TX. This expansion has allowed us to scale product development and deliver top-performing game content.
A Transformative Turnaround and U.S. Expansion
A key factor in our turnaround was our focus on quality over quantity. By refining our game development process and harnessing data-driven insights, Bluberi created Devil’s Lock™— a breakthrough game that showcased our talent and passion for slot game design. This success not only gave us a competitive edge but also helped redefine our identity as a company.
Strengthening Partnerships
As we continued to grow, Bluberi’s success would not be possible without our invaluable business partnerships. Having casino partners who believed in our business model and trusted our vision gave us the resources we needed to build on the success of Devil’s Lock.
One of the unique qualities Bluberi offers is our belief in operating with clarity and transparency. We believe it’s important that we share our vision, approach to game design, and ensure that our customers and players recognize that their voices matter.
Expanding Markets and Product Lines
Over the last five years, Bluberi’s footprint has continued to grow with entry into new markets like Historical Horse Racing (HHR) in Kentucky, New Hampshire, and Wyoming, as well as Canadian provinces including Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta.
2024 was a monumental year for product development, marked by the launch of two new hardware cabinets: Beacon Elite™, our first premium game line, and Beacon+™, a for-sale cabinet. Their success has been driven by high-performing game content, including Honey Bomb™ for the Beacon Elite and Timber Jack Going Wilder™ for the Beacon+.
Delivering Great Content
At Bluberi, strong content is the cornerstone of our success. The flagship game, Devil’s Lock, has set the standard, while hits like Xing Fu 888™, Rocket Rumble™, and Shark’s Lock™ continue to captivate players. Recent releases such as Timber Jack Going Wilder™, Jackpot Shot™, and Honey Bomb™ further showcase our creativity and ability to design unique content.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Bluberi
While we celebrate reaching 10,000 units, we know this is just the beginning. Our plans include:
- New Product Lines: Expanding our hardware lineup with Beacon+ Lighthouse.
- Great Content: Launching new game content, including Atomic Duck™, Raging Red™, Dancing Pots™, and Shoot for the Loot™
- Market Expansion: Expanding our U.S. jurisdictions (Nevada, New Jersey, Louisiana) and entrance into international markets like France, alongside continued HHR growth
As we look to the future, we remain driven by our Core Value: Celebrate Wins but Be Never Satisfied. The journey to 10,000 units has been incredible, but we’re just getting started.
